an untitled overdose in colour by KeiBlackthorne an untitled overdose in colour by KeiBlackthorne
design first sketched in pencil, then after a summer of sitting on the back burner, finally taken to with a few brushes and watercolours in the hopes of finishing it and having it out of my hair. i like how her hair turned out, though it's uncommon for me to use so much colour in my pieces, so i'm not so sure what happened with the background. sort of an experiment, i suppose, getting to know my paints. i don't paint much. probably should have done it in pastels instead, but tis too late now. the digital photo of it doesn't really do the quality of the lines or the colours justice, but whatever, i knew it wouldn't.

I really like the background and the 'chain' effect, connecting the two. My favorite part is probably the shape/ rhythm of the main parts of the piece and the swirling colors around it.
The girls forehead looks a little odd to me, more sharp then then are, but that's the anime style, and I've also just been staring at a live model in class.
I'd like to see more stuff of yours in watercolor.
